Web Programmer
San Luis Obispo, CA
ELEMENTS is an interactive agency
based in San Luis Obispo. We focus on developing web based software
systems using our software platform called ElementsConnect. We are
looking for a skilled, full-time and motivated software developer to
join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom web based software applications for client projects.
- Develop specifications and working with team membes for implementing systems.
- Integrate applications within elements CMS.
- Manage and develop elements CMS product enhancements.
- Develop internal systems for mangement of customer base.
- Good at working in teams and implementing projects in a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Job Description:
- Minimum of 4 years experience developing PHP applications.
- Minimum of 4 years experience designing and working with MySQL Database.
- Minimum of 4 years experience developing dynamic websites that utilize user based system administration.
- Must be able to provide demo sites completed with PHP/MySQL including samples of relevant source code.
- Ability to work with AJAX, Javascript, CSS, XHTML
- Additional helpful knowledge: Linux, Apache, Java, XML, SVN, RSS, CMS systems, E-Commerce, OOP

Senior Web Designer
San Luis Obispo, CA
This role will be responsible for leading and designing projects,
communicating with clients/internal teams, attending creative
brainstorming sessions and, most importantly, promoting a culture of
fun and excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include
- Photoshop & Fireworks is second nature,
- Confident discussing and shaping designs
in collaboration with other team members in order to meet client
requirements as outlined in creative briefs.
- Work with creative team, marketing staff and other designers to establish and carry out design goals for each project.
- Possess articulate presentation skills and an extreme attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a passion for quality and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Formulate and present a variety of design concepts to Creative Director.
- Work closely with project managers, producers, engineers and other team members to achieve client objectives.
- Develop web pages and templates with a strong focus on detail, quality and maintaining design consistency.
- Perform maintenance and content publishing tasks through various CMS and web-based publishing tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years experience designing, building and maintaining Web sites.
- B.A./B.S. in graphic design, electronic/interactive design, multimedia, computer science or related field.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS with the ability to hand code.
- Working knowledge of Web standards and CSS-driven layouts.
- An understanding of cross-browser and platform issues with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quickly.
- Solid background and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks for producing and optimizing graphics for the Web.
- Knowledge of other web development and graphic design software, including Illustrator and Flash is a plus.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX, including DOM scripting and object-oriented JavaScript coding is strongly advised.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple functional areas to implement Web site design initiatives.
- Ability to handle a number of projects simultaneously and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities to junior team members.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
